Project Proposal

This is a written assignment.

Having submitted your project ideas one of them will have been selected in concert with the professor. Now you must take the preferred project and write a detailed project proposal for it. This proposal should be 2-3 pages and contain all the information outlined below.

Note that as discussed in class, this is a proposal in which you must demonstrate that your project is sufficient to demonstrate your mastery of the coursework at LMU.

• A detailed description of the project
• A detailed description of the target audience (the users)
• A detailed description of the target environment (desktop app, J2EE container, webapp, etc.)
• A brief description of how you imagine the project fitting together from a technical perspective (servers, clients, configuration, deployment, etc.)
• A description of the technologies you would use to implement it (J2EE, OpenGL, Java, C, C++, etc.)
• A description of at least three parts of the Computer Science curriculum at LMU and how you will use them in your project (Not just a list of classes, but the concepts and technologies you learned about and how they apply to your problem)
• A description of the largest primary risk factors your project faces that will hamper your efforts (lack of time is not a primary risk factor)

Be absolutely sure this is a proofed, well constructed writing assignment. Use the LRC, use your classmates, use your roommate, use anyone you need to, but get it proofed and edited first. Do not submit a haphazard first-draft for this (or any) writing assignment.
